since they claim we are a islamic "republic"

ahmadinejad knows verry well how to give the people the feeling they are part of the republic, and atom energy is their god given right as an citzien of the islamic republic!

meaning.....civil rights are cuted, politic is a game between relativs but the right for atom energy is selled as the fundamental right of every single iranian,

so he use the tread of the UN to silence the opposition inside!

My larger point is that the West has no business in interfering in Iran's internal affairs. What happens inside Iran is for the Iranian people to decide. I'm not a supporter of ahmadinejad - nor the clergy. The current regime came to power as a BACKLASH to the West's interference (keeping Reza Phalivi as their puppet + toppling a democratically elected govt before him). My 2 cents :)

mehditablib: thanks :) I understand what you are saying and your concern is perfectly legitimate. I'm also afraid of war - and wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. War is not a game (only the elites would consider it as such), it is the very definition of horror. Most people simply cannot imagine it. I think, you and I both can. I'm ALL for solar energy! Besides, nuclear energy is too expensive to produce + not safe. Where do the 'waste' products go? With a half-life of 25,000 years?

I consider Iran one of the few countries left that is truly free. Sanctions from the so called UN can now be looked upon as an act of war and should be responded as such. Scott Ritter is a hero, like contra reporter Gary Webb he risks assassination for his efforts. Gary Webb who told friends if he turns up dead from suicide, it will be anything but. Gary Webb committed suicide by shooting himself twice in the head.

OurGaia: I remember the story of Gary Webb - the entire sordid tale. This guy uncovered some shit, that nobody else would touch with a ten-foot pole. Even if he wasn't shot by somebody else, killing himself in the end, he was driven to it by those, who where relentless in trying to destroy his credibility. Recently de-classified records have shown, that he was right to a large degree.
