Giouvetsi is a traditional Greek dish made with only a few simple ingredients but it is packed with flavour. It is made with lamb (although you could also substitute the lamb for beef), tomato juice and spaghetti.

  • lol, the giouvetsi they serve in restaurants in Athens (and in Belgium) is small pieces of lamb, orzo, tomato sauce and cheese, "au gratin" in the oven :)

bu this looks delicious too! mmmmmmmmh

  • @blchitwn Orzo is the classic ingredient for this dish. Spaghetti is a variation.

  • Thank You Mrs. Eva!

    WONDERFUL and SO SIMPLE

No onions no garlic- yet flavorful!

I am Italian- so it's like our recipes are cousins!

I believe this would work great with ORZO (pasta that is small like rice) or potatoes!

  • Love the recipe! Thanks for sharing.
