  • @mandmmama2411 oh yeah, with the hippos...!

  • As a DJ I often play this in a music quiz...name the artist, to date no one has actually guessed who it is, its a song that everyone has heard-but very few people remember the artist. Great song from a very good singer.

  • @17DJLOVER I need to get along to one of your quizzes...

  • Reminds me of boring sundays, roast dinners uck, how old am i,too old.

  • @349quinman Roast dinners mean the same uck to me as well...

  • I knew this sounded familiar. According to wikipedea, this was also done as a comedy song, titled "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah", sung by Allan Sherman in 1963 (also on youtube).

  • @Grumburble "Hello Muddah...." charted in October 1963, almost a year after "Like I Do"

  • Which came first, this song or Allan Sherman's 'Hello Muddah, hello Faddah'?

  • @JohnAGood Yes; I was noticing the almost precise same orchestral backing myself between the 2 LOL!!

  • Just a great clear voice - and lovely song - a Gem from the early 60's - perhaps the best music period of all.

    Nice supportive background
