The Tiger 1 is one of my favorite tanks from the VsTAnk Pro Infra Red series of RC Battle Tanks.

The quality and attention to detail on this particular model is outstanding. From the weathering effect on the paint, to the Zimmerit detail on the surfaces of the Hull and Turret - it all adds towards creating a very realistic looking tank. Each of the VS Tank Tigers are historically accurate to the period in World War 2 when the original tank was produced. Early, Mid and Late Production models. The tank in the video is Late Production, Desert Color.

I particularly like the fact that all my Tiger 1's came standard with the 'metal look' tracks. I did not have to pay nearly thirty dollars to have these tracks as an 'upgrade'.

  • I see you have a collection of these tanks, Cool collection. They are expensive, are they worth it compared to a Hen-Long tank? I dont know anything about the Vs Tanks.

  • @MilitantPIG If you go to the VS tank site you will find a section entitled "Comparison". Here you will have any information regarding the difference between Hen Long tanks & VS Tanks answered in greater detail than I can do here. Suffice to say VS Tank are better quality & a far more accurate representation of what the actual real tank would have looked like. In my opinion the VS Tanks are definitely worth the extra money. To go better than VS Tank one has to pay a LOT more (eg Tamiya).

  • @Helirazor1 I will check that out. I thank you very much for your input. I would rather take the advixce from you than the seller of them... This Tiger 1 is very sweet, I like it. I might get the Sherman and the Tiger 1 so when I have company we can play around with them in the living room.

Thank you for the information, I'll be watching your channel for more videos!

  • @MilitantPIG Thanks for your comments. Good to hear you find my channel helpful. The VSP Infra Red Tiger 1 Late Production Desert Camouflage Color looks great in real life. It is a very solid, well made tank. It is a good choice, as indeed are all the Tiger 1's. The Sherman I cannot talk about from experience yet as I do not have one in my collection. The Sherman was a later addition to the VSP World War II series - as such even the ones with the earlier controllers have Mute, Lo, Hi sound

  • @Helirazor1 Your elcome, you make very information based videos... hard to find otherwise about these tanks. Most are all driving around and stuff. I like the Tiger 1, the green camo is the one I'll be getting or perhaps the same model you have here. I'll figure I'll store them on my mantel since they look so good when not in use. If I get the sherman before you do I'll make a video of it and send you the link ahead of time. It looks like it comes with the hard tracks and a commander and stuff.

  • @MilitantPIG I could find little information about them & the few stores which sold them here knew nothing about the product they were selling - they were more or less a sideline product for them. The tanks were packed in boxes in a way that I couldn't see them properly - screwed and wired in place.

When I went on YouTube to research them all the videos seemed to be of tanks in the distance running across a lawn or floor. I decided to provide some videos with more info. It grew from there :)

  • @Helirazor1 Excellent job, "Tanks" for the videos. I can tell you put work into them. I have some cool plans making videos and chasing the cats around with one. With your advice and videos I have decided on my first tank to be the Sherman, the detail pics on line look amazing.

  • @subron6er This tank is absolutely stock, as it arrives from VS Tank factory. The color is described by VS Tank as "Desert Camouflage".

  • do you know off hand what that color actually is on this tank?? Didn't know if you painted it or not. thanks Jeff

  • @TheJelllyo The T.Z.F.9c monocular gun sight was introduced in March of 1944. In February of 1944 the steel road wheels were introduced. Therefore this model should have the monocular gun sight.

There were of course numerous other changes made to the Tiger 1's during their two years of production between August '42 and August '44. It is likely VsTank has not included some of the minor changes to keep their manufacturing costs down - however the wrong gun sight is a little too obvious.
