@HilariousCrow its a capacitor that becomes charged up that is used for the flash, which needs a couple second, high voltage, burst of electricity, therefore, if u hook up a wire to the capacitor, that couple second, high voltage burst goes through the wire.

that is a taser

@EliasBagley excuse me, I was mistaken. It's more like 50,000-100,000 or more off of a 9 volt battery. It's the Amperage that makes the big difference as far as whether or not it will harm you and to what extent.

@EliasBagley actually if I am not mistaken, a commercial stun gun available to the public advertises that it puts out 10,000+ volts.. they run off a 9 volt battery.
You do not have to have a 300v battery to get a 300v discharge, or even much higher. By lowering other factors like wattage, you can amplify voltage to extreme ammounts from a relatively low voltage battery.

fuck that. such bullshit. id be so mad if some douche with no sese of humor got me arrested

haha! yeah i was sitting in class once in grade school and dicking with a disposable camera and it shocked the fuck outta me!!! haha! no one believed me damnit! XD
how does a disposable camera overpower its voltage to....300v?
HilariousCrow 7 months ago
@HilariousCrow Well... I don't think that can happen. The voltage you get is going to be limited by the battery you're using. I don't think you can get 300v without using a 300v battery. The voltage isn't the important part of a stungun though, it's the current.

dam i made one and got a 300 volt shock twice. This is because once flash is active om my camera it dosent stop I had to use a light bulb and retake it apart mind you i have no rubber gloves.I hate kodak.

@RobertoDuran121 if you take the battery out and discharge the capacitor, you won't get shocked.

I did this, not to shock people, but I opened the camera and I got a pretty nasty shock myself... I wasn't touching it though, screw driver :P
