Breakers stereo test an AudioControl LC2i vs. a standard HiLow adapter to see what the output difference is. Important when adding a car audio amp /amplifier to your stock stereo system. Why spend all that money on good amps like JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, Cerwin Vega, Memphis or Focal and waste all that sound by using a $20 HiLow adapter??

  • Would you hook up the LC2i the same way as a regular HiLow adapter? right now i have a scosche Loc80 on the back of my factory headunit and my car has the factory amp. All you have to hook up with the lc2i is the 4 speaker wires? just like the loc80? or is there more to it?

  • @philliesP15 The installation of the LC2 is very much like a traditional hi-low adaptor but it allows you to put four channels into the device at once and as you have seen it will give you a MAJOR increase in output from your factory radio! Again this means your amp wont have to work as hard to give your more sound!

The LC2 is also different because it gives you a dedicated full range channel and then a dedicated sub output that you can improve the bass performance, from factory roll off.

  • Imagine increasing your Bass 20% just by adding one item! More Bass for less money!!

  • Very nice review. I liked that you had a DMM and a practical example. Looks like you also have a nice shop.

  • I'm planning on getting this soon for my 2011 Accord for aftermarket bass. I had the Re-Q, it wasn't much better than an LOC. What's the sure-fire way to calibrate this product correctly?

  • Thank You for this great review. This is exactly what I was looking for. Instead of spending $25 on a passive loc, this review proves that I should spend $75 more and get myself the Audiocontrol LC2. Cheers. =)

  • okay how good is this thing? im thinking of getting a Hi-lo adapter but i do not know if eather to get this one or the lc8i or lc6i.. any recomendations?
