Here's my old Mitsubishi 360 Van AM radio (which I believe is an aftermarket item from about 1969, hard to tell for sure) hooked up in bench test mode and playing songs off of my iPod. I ran the right and left channel of the iPod through 1k ohm resistors and then spliced them together. I then soldered that to the input terminal on the potentiometer. I also rigged up a cigarette lighter to USB adapter so that my iPod can charge while in the car. Who would have thought, a 43 year old car with iPod connectivity!
Good job mate!
I mean about the radio and the car!

Great use of an old radio there...
I'm curious, I see you've turned the stereo signal from the iPod into a balanced mono input.... and hardwired your iPod directly to the volume Pot... does this conversion make use of the Radio's amplifier? or are you having to crank the volume up a lot on the iPod? have you cut the feed from the Radio receiver?
I'd love to chat about this, so please do get back to me if you can ;)
