I remember seeing this film years ago, and having a huge crush on Horst Bucholtz. However watching this clip today it is more then a little painful to see Hollywood actors in blackface with phony accents trying to pass themselves off as Indians. It is a pity because the movie's story of Ghandi's assasination is still pertinent today, and also its currents of political/ethnic radicalism. I don't think much of remaking movies, but if there was ever a movie that should be remade, it is this one.

Yes but it's a bit better now as Asian/Orientals actors/actresses are used.
