the lock switch is so yoi can remove the top bar and then the cover to customize it.

they have the whammy bar movable so that idiots like u don't brake it so easily

so if it takes a hit, there is a 50% chance it doesn't brake

organise urself man, u dnt know so many things about the instruments

Have no clue if it is better, but you can go on the RedOctane site and order the official mic from them, just search "Guitar Hero Wired USB Microphone (Multi-Platform)". It's on sale for $10 now, so it is a great time to buy :)
