@CeebeeNorway: Most Christians and Jews believe that Israel was destined to re-emerge as a nation; because the Jews never gave up their land willingly most people seem to support their right to have it back once again. Because Palestine never existed as a country to begin with, it's not possible to eradicate it. It's my understanding that Palestinians have been compensated for any lands they've given up although they're notorious for claiming otherwise.

@MurrayMD English is not my first language, so there may be some spelling errors.
I don't have any problem with Israel being a country, its the way it takes land from other people. The occupation of more land that is not rightfully yours. I don't think Israel will stop before the complete eradication of Palestine. Thats my problem with Israel.
I hope someday the Un will ignore the veto's from the US and give Palestine the right to be a country. Just like Truman gave you the right.

@arrant972 Yes i do, one of the complete occupied countries. The similarities just keep getting easier to see.Torture, race hate, systematic wiping out the Palestinians. NOO.! There is no similarities at all.
This is just a evolved Stockholm syndrome.

@CeebeeNorway did you, "dude", live in any of those nazi-occupied countries so that you can tell the similarities between the 3rd reich and Israel, dude?

Fuck you ceebee Norway you don't know Jack shit about life here
the jewish people have built an example country in only about half a century. i can't understand how someone can hate israel. they should admire, respect and learn from it instead.
and palestinian arabs should have embraced the fact that the land has been tunred into something decent and liveable instead of a dusty desert what it had been been before the jews came.
Haaretz, you have my respect+love

Between 1979 and 2010 I had not been to Israel. I have still cannot believe how much change and development there has been during this time. I hardly recognised this beautiful and amazing country. Congratulations to the Israelis who have been able to develop a modern, thriving, friendly and beautiful country under the most extraordinary difficult circumstances. Obviously, the country is not interested in wasting their energy and brains on 'hating' , but on living and developing. Kol hakavod
