I was in an interracial relationship with a man who's parents were not comfortable with a white man being with a Black woman. They lived in Kentucky, and when I got a chance to meet them, his Step Father told me watching Oprah had helped him be more open minded towards me and our relationship. We got along very well after that and I will always appreciate Oprah for her positive influence on that man!
