I Hate Men from the 2007 West Hartford Summer Arts Festival Production of Kiss Me, Kate. I play Lilli Vanessi, who is playing Kate in the play within a play, Kevin Liftig plays Signore Baptista, and David Addis plays Lucentio, the 'mecock wretch'. ;)

please note: I was suffering from mononucleosis during this performance which causes your vocal chords to swell, and my voice is definitely far from where it could have been. But I did my best!

  • are you singing this in your chest voice?

  • Most of it is a chest mix.

  • WOW... you've got the same power in your voice which Idina Menzel has! It's incredible! I wouldn't have guessed you were sick! I'd love to hear you in full health!

  • Holy crap thanks!!!! :)

  • What is mononucleosis? Anyway, I can hear clearly that you have a strong voice, and I LOVE the acting! More, please. :)

  • Mononucleosis is a virus that attacks your lymph nodes. You get very, very tired and your throat gets thick and sore, so it really compromises your singing.

But thanks for the compliments!! I'm gonna put up one more vid of this performance tomorrow, of the catfight scene. :)

  • great voice, wicked acting!!! (i like your version best of all "i hate men" on youtube!)

  • WOW you can't even tell you're sick! :)

  • bad costumes, great singer

  • I love this song and i always listen to this in art class! then my friend says "I feel unloved" and i say "Tuff Love Little Boy!!!!!!" and then do an evil laugh!

    This was good

  • woah if this is what you're like when your voice is wacked out then we're in for a treat when it isn't! well done hun i luv this song so much. :) xxx

  • This is REALLY good. Such power and intensity -- I would love to hear you sing with your full strength (not being sick). I would love to hear you sing 'The Miller's Son'

  • WOW! Doing some research on KISS ME KATE and came upon this by chance. You are quite amazing -- (and I'm fairly critical in general) -- equally comfortable in your chest and head voice, and both parts of your voice very, very appealing -- and you handle the text/comedy with great ease -- you've got a future in theater if you want it -- consider me a fan!!
