No effect at all. Iris Simulations just realeased a new Diamond DA40 XLS its awesome. it comes with a G1000 just like this one. But it does have an effect on framerates slightly

yeah. i saw that. it looks really nice. problem is, it is only applicable to fsx/sp2. i have the acceleration disc, but it causes fsx to crash. so i cant use acceleration or payware sp2 planes =( but it is okay. this one looks pretty good. thanks for helping me out =) one last question, how does it handle according to the real thing. i have only gotten my hands on a katana, so i am not familiar with the diamond star. lol

As much as i woudl love to fly a star i havent fished out the money to rent one to fly, so i cant help you on that one.
