I went to Utah and saw Great Salt Lake in 2005. It is strange and not what i expected at all. Interesting to see but sorry, but i prefer the lakes by me. For those that have never seen it your pictures are a good prelude to what its like. Your pictures are very good.
@amyleoness Lucky you, we will be visiting SLC and Utah this month and I can't wait to see the places we've always wanted to see starting with Temple Square, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, the Great Salt Lake and the Mountains in Utah.

I've lived in Utah for 35 years and I can tell you, I love living here. I love the Mountains, the sunsets, the lakes, and the overall diversity of the landscape.
you should make a montage with the band of horses song "Great Salt Lake" in the background, a beautiful song about a beautiful place! (beautiful by the looks of this montage) cheers from scotland!
Nice video, I worked out on that lake for over 10 years, it can be beautiful one moment and very savage the next,we harvested the eggs from the only thing that can stand that saline water, brine shrimp eggs a.k.a sea monkeys ,their eggs are very valuable, they are one of only a few creatures that can make eggs or give live birth! interesting to me,but when the wind blows and stirs it up it stinks like nothing you have ever smelled,it also gives us some weird weather (lake effect)
You really have put together a beautiful video - I have lived in Utah my whole life and it has really opened up my eyes to a whole new vision of the Great Salt Lake - Thank you...
I use to live in Clearfield Utah and in the summer it would smell like dead fish yukk! But I still loved it. It was so beautiful I miss it there. :,(
