I think they wanted to firm their business in India due to the extreme welcome they received to Innova and Fortuner. However I do suspect if they are selling the already made base with a OK looking body, which they recently called back in USA because of the accelerator issues!!!

It is too plasticky inside .....does not seem to have the same quality that toyota offers in europe or US....Why our money in india is not worth or what...???Or we indians can be negotiated on QUALITY...

It doesnt look likeToyata Echo, its front shape is some wat similar to Innova as this guys says. Toyota sedans or hatch backs are not known for cool looks, but they are very reliable. 5 lakhs for Toyota is Gr8 deal.

Very good car and rightly priced. This will shake the Maruti Sales Team from top to bottom. I drove Echo outside India, now thats way back in 2003. I liked that as a small car and now we are getting Sedan and a better version and engine than that. I would definitely recommend this for the Middle class segment (Including me) and insha'ALLAH will book this car. Was waiting for the test drive but the test vehicle is expected by 25th Dec.
