A slight delay...

@FreeForAllGamerz If the bios is that slow, is it really worth having the SSD is a raid in the first place?

Even if you ignore the raid controller, that was pretty slow. My vertex 2 boots up before the 4 coloured dots on the windows logo even meet up, and that's with a heap of shit installed, I imagine that's a fresh windows install you're using there.
-
Also, my Vista Lite boots faster than that on a Sata generation 1 Raptor from 2003 (10000 RPM)

Windows has some of the slowest shutdowns I have ever seen! Linux and Mac OS shut down almost instantly.
-
Its good but like others have said its the raid controller that lets you down.
-
haha, thats GREAT, but whats the motherboard trying to do at the beginning?
-
Wow that sucks, it's your Mobo and it firmware which is stupid slow. I can see the actual windows software bootup was stupid fast. Because the Mobo 56sec is slower than my mums old IBM (not lenovo) P4 3Ghz.
My ssd (Vertex 2 60gbs) shuts down in the same, and boots in 30-35 seconds (youre raid controller is fucking slow).
