  • firefighters have a tough job...hope everyone is ok

  • @WillSmithsMom Do you work in Metrowest Boston Massachusetts? We work on a 10 alarm run card with, besides the first alarm assignment which varies depending on the community, each additional alarm calls for an average of 2 engines and a ladder. Learn what you are talking about before you make yourself look stupid.

  • @firemike71 i was talking about our running cards, not yours.... you guys have a lot of payed people, so 2-3 trucks can handle a 1st, here its majority volunteer so we have to call alot of trucks for a 1st because of manpower

  • @heino320 its because we are primarily volunteer, its hard to get alot of manpower out of only 3 trucks

  • @HalfEatenCookie1793 thats easy to do in a place where you have lots of money and can afford to pay 5 people to work 1 truck, but here its rural and theres no money to have that many payed people, my county is majority volunteer, there is 6-8 trucks called because sometimes its really hard to get manpower, alot of times there is only 1-3 people on 1 truck

  • Really? You guys are mature firefighters. Yet you decide to fight fires and eachother. Maybe you all have different ways. Your supposed to work together, not at eachother. Save your fight for the fires. And yet im 16 and i dont fight over a youtube video... No offence.

  • @WillSmithsMom Wow I dont know where you are from but 1st Alarm = 8 trucks? Wow you guys either are 1) The shittiest fire department in the world 2) Dont know what you are doing so you call a lot of people and hopefully someone knows what they are doing 3) Just like to invite everyone so they can watch a fire. or 4) All of the above. Our First Alarm Assignment is Two Engines, a tower and a rescue.

  • who the hell parked the truck that close to the building, they must really not want to use that extra length of hose.

  • @FFdoc27 If you're going defensive, you shouldn't be standing in the hot zone. Of course if the smoke is laying low and you are constantly exposed you should use SCBA, But if you are on a master stream you generally aren't in a smoke condition. I didn't say you should stop using common sense.

  • @ffjsb Enjoy your lung cancer. Just because you have gone defensive doesn't mean take your SCBA and hood off. Conditions change, including wind direction. Always have all of your gear, you dont need to be masked up, but always be ready to go.

  • Two words...collapse zone.

  • @atw5556 If you are mounting an exterior defensive attack you don't need scba or hoods, any firefighter could tell you that. Those that were interior in the exposure did have PPE. Try watching the video. Obvioustly since they're hitting it with a master stream no one is in the fire building. And I love all the morons screaming and yelling the obvious in the video. IT COLLAPSED!!! No Shit.
