  • Actually, I think we could all do with living in a van close to work for a few years...you could put away enough for a VERY nice down payment on a home. Nice thing to think about, I s'pose, but probably could never do it.

  • that hypnotist woman is a wackjob

  • that moan at 4:42 is right out of the silent hill games.... BBC seem to rip that a lot. once they did a trailer with the FFVII theme

  • it makes sense he grew up dirt poor. His cheapness is probably why he has the nice house.

  • The rich guy calls it the condition of meaness. He's got it right.

  • @adiadv10 Yes, this is a good reminder that you can't judge anything or anyone until you know the whole story. I still believe riches are worthless unless you use them to help others and...okay spoil yourself a little but, I do feel sorry for these misguided folks. Money isn't everything - no matter how much we want to worship the almighty buck.

  • @Lucailey That is exactly what I thought of, too. So many of those people are obviously in need of psychiatric help.

  • @adiadv10 Yes, it is easy to judge these people without knowing what lead up to it. Oddly enough I keep thinking of the show hoarders while watching this.

  • I made a few jabs at these people when commenting on other parts of the show, but I sincerely feel a lot of sympathy for them. Everyone is a product of their environment and people develop different coping mechanisms that sometimes become life altering obsessions. Hoarding money is like hoarding possessions: it's a wall people build around themselves in an attempt to escape a past trauma or an emptiness in their life.

  • well at least rich guy knows he has a problem. he likes children but doesn't want them because he can't afford them bullshit! live poor or struggle a little bit the joy of a son is worth it. having a family is worth it. that guys wife looks so lifeless

  • my grandmother was poor most of her life and she wound up very wealthy by marriage in her 80's but she still tipped 50 cents at restaraunts and checked pay phones for change. she was a child of the great depression. we would always sneak in after she left and leave the server more money. RIP nola.

  • At his age I'd be in a hurry to find a cure too, spend it before you kick so your no good relatives won't get it.
