Me, too! For the most part, the originals ARE better than anyone who's come after them- Maureen, Roger, Angel, Collins, Mark, Benjamin... But when it comes to Joanne and Mimi, I prefer Tracie Toms and Rosario Dawson, though I don't think anyone's ever gotten Mimi's voice to the point where I said, "that's HER. That's Mimi" like I did with all the other characters, including Joanne when I saw Tracie play her for the first time.

Everyone says that you can never beat the originals but.. I'm a huge Tracie Thoms fan so I was thrilled to know that she was in the movie :D I absolutely love her in it, I think she was perfect for the role. Plus her voice always sends chills through my spine, especially when she sings "I'd fall for her still anyhow." I like Fredi too, but for me Tracie will always be the real Joanne.
