  • Watercolor is ideal for graphic art styles. you're right... following an overall light wash which reserves the whites of the subject, the painting is built up witha series of washes. Watch out for my forthcoming article in the uk Leisure Painter magazine on how to keep watercolor clean and bright

  • hi Juanancyutube.. yes, no problem, my full name is Tim Fisher, I will be posting new tutorials on the Jacksonstops page in the near future

  • does this come naturally to you or did you have to take lessons?

  • I've had a few lessons about 20 years ago, but most of it just dawned on me through perseverance. These days, I try to pass on my skills through painting courses to help others see the light.

  • Thank you so much!

  • Do you have any recommendations for achieving very graphic effects using watercolors? I like watercolor paintings but am not interested in making paintings with the classic impressionistic watercolor style that blurs edges and emphasizes light. Instead, I would like to use watercolors to paint within an ink drawing, almost like markers. I've only seen a few artists use this technique but I really love the result. Is glazing technique the best for this approach? Very nice work, BTW

  • Thank you for a beautiful lesson.

I am conducting a watercolor workshop for some friends and would like your permission to show your video without sound but with captions in Spanish and credits to you.

Could I use your full name? Do you have other tutorials?

  • Thank you for the tutorial.

  • I'm getting into watercolours myself, why is it desireable for the paint to fall to the bottom?

  • Thank you so much. I'm just beginning to do watercolors, and your videos are so very helpful to me as I practice and learn.

  • any tips for a beginner?

  • Any new tips for a beginnner?
