"In Response to Place" in association with the Nature Conservancy is narrated by Joanne Woodward and takes a look at some of the most beautiful places on earth through the eyes and lenses of the world's greatest Nature photographers. Best known for her color portraits of celebrities, Leibovitz chose to work in the landscape mode in the Shawangunk Mountains near her country property in upstate New York. The Shawangunk Mountains are widely recognized as one of the most important sites for biodiversity in the Northeast U.S.

@MrFalconford I agree. I can't help thinking about how much power people like Annie Leibovitz have and how much they could have done by being so inspirational and have so many people looking up to them...

Oh she gets to travel now. How lucky. Glamorous too. Where's the rest of them. Love the music Annie, did you know there are six wars going on right now. What about the oil spill. Keep on showing the young what it means to be a feminist artist.

Her personal history is quite interesting, her photos of Susan Sontag are amongst the best personal photos I seen, also its interesting to see her change from the early reportage, to celebrity then back to landscape.
