"Caliber rifle" isn't a term. Caliber refers to the size of the bullet. So it should be "____ caliber rifle". For example, ".30 caliber". The ".30" indicates that the bullet, at its base, has a diameter of 0.30 inches. Typically, the term only refers to imperial measurements, and not metric. For example, "7.62mm caliber" isn't really a commonly used term. It means the exact same thing as .30 caliber, but it isn't seen as often.
So, to restate my question: What caliber?
