"is she okay?!" a voice said frantically. alice turned around, taking her hands away from her face.
"chase..?" she questioned angrily. "what the living hell are you doing here?! talking about living hell, it was heaven before you came.." she was etremeley furiated with seeing chase here, seeing him concered about emily.
"harsh." he replied.
"harsh is what you did to her..who to-" she cut herself off by her wandering thoughts. she turned around to face roxy and questioned, sounding very hurt. "you called him, how could you?!"
"i didnt!" roxy said, suprised that alice would even accused her for that. "why would i anyways! i called ni-"
"whose this dude? never seen him before."
"HIM! i called him..." roxy said, pointing at nick. alice turned around and said stupidly "oh; i should have known that.."
"soo." nick continued, confused by there previous, but also present conversation. "who is this guy?"
"oh..uhm, he's.my.brother. oh right; my brother." she walked towards chase, putting her arm around him so he can feel pain within her tight grip. "right, brother.." she said through her clenched teeth.
"uhhmm.." chase said, trying to tell alice that he was getting hurt but all it did, was make her grip harder. she looked at him and back at nick to see if he was buying it; he bought it but joe didnt. joe looked at both of them, scrutiating there faces.
"you dont look alike.." kevin said, saying joe line and joe got annoyed and looked at kevin. kevin shrugged and joe stepped back.
"alice.." nick said, forcing alice to tell him the truth with his convincing tone.
she looked at everyone around her. they looked at her, wondering if she would tell the truth. she sighed in defeat and spoke. "he. he uhmm..he ra.." she shouldnt say it, it hurt, even if it wasnt her. she remembered the days when emily didnt say a word besides, 'kill me, i hate the pain inside me.' she looked into nicks eyes and saw him comprehending on the two letters. she waited until she heard a click in his head but nothing. he just stood there, waiting for her to say it. "he r-r-r-raped her..." she said, feeling awkward in saying the word.
nick looked at chase agrily. he charged at him as quick as the speed of sound. "YOU DID WHAT?!?!" nick screamed furiated; holding him on the collar, pushing him against the wall. alices arms unfolded and dropped them at her side. she was about to scream 'STOP IT! STOP IT! THATS NOT RIGHT!' at both of them but thought, 'maybe chase does deserve it..' nicks anger flared through him. "WHY WOULD YOU DO SUCH A THING TO HER! YOU MOTHER FU-"
"nick.." a calm voice said "nick, let go. put your hand down.." nick growled a little and looked at his fist, realizing he was about to punch chase without knowing until it happened. he looked at chase with disapproving eyes and let go of his collar; pushing him a little hard in the wall. he turned around, walking away while he slowly ran his fingers through his hair. roxy looked around, realizing everyone was a bit suprised that nick would do such a thing. nick stayed standing where he was, his back facing away from everyone else while his face was buried in his hands; afraid of everyones emotion on there face.
" i didnt mean to.." i voice said through painful sobs. nick unburried his face and looked behind him. he saw chase on the ground, crying in his knees. "i love her..i didnt mean to." nick slowly walked, making a snail look fast than him.
"excuse me" he said with a disgusted tone. chase looked up and repeated the same sentence. "i belive thats not true.." nick said, laughing a little at chase. "how can you not know mean to"
"i was drunk and unable to understand anything around me..." chase said between breaths still crying in his knees. nick still looked at him disgusted. he laughed a little, but his laugh wasnt playful.
"you better not show you face here again. i want you to leave."
"but.."
"GET OUT!" nick screamed getting angry again. "SCRAM!" nick said, pulling chase off the ground.
"please.." chase pleaded. nick looked at him with confusion. "i just want to see her.." nick let go of his shirt and opened his mouth to say something, but the doctor interuppted.
"excuse, the mother said you should go first.."
"oh," nick looked at emilys mom and continued. "ms.hart, why dont you go first?"
"i cant. not after what i told her."
"huh?"
"just go.
"wha-"
"go nick.." he walked away and stood outside her door. scared was his emotion and he couldnt explain it. he planted his right hand on the door knob and twisted it open.
"emily..." he whispered.
"nick!"
