I agree they've changed, but that's kinda funny to say about a band that's always been changing. Most older fans tend to not like the "new styled modest mouse" and i think it's because it's a lot more poppy. Here's a thing about pop, it actually used to be cool (Beatles, Rolling Stones, Zepp) If a poppy sound is gonna put modest mouse on the radio, and help them get the attention they deserve, i'm all for it only bc their messages are just as deep and consistent. Rock on Modest Mouse, Rock on!

@ITTTheKrimsonKing lol yeah dont get me wrong id never compare some pretty boy band to MM but overall personally i dont like theyre newer stuff as much. just happens with most bands. i would say MM is one of the top 5 best bands ever of all time in a heartbeat though

@mbrinton I'm tired of all these fuckin "pure" music listeners who think that MM got worse just because people finally realized how awesome they are. Go listen to songs like "all night diner" and "third planet" and compare them to songs like "float on and this one.
