When any damage is caused to the spine your body cripples and you could black out if the pain if to unbearable.

Bruce had already had the wind knocked out of him and got a solid 4 or 5 punches directly to the head which seemed to knock him out for a very brief moment.

When Bane dropped him across his knee the amount of pain immediately caused Bruce to black-out.

Bruce could have been out hours or possibly day's before he became conscious.

Just wondering if there is an explanation for how the lights came back on after Batman switches them off.....

so true! The Batman is a "Combat pragmatist",its part of the reason he's lived so long and why people fear him.THE Batman would've First actually did his research on his Foe instead of searching Gung-Ho(having been given every indication beforehand that Bane is an ambitious terrorist with a militia who you do not wanna fuck with)for his whereabouts and then deciding to subdue him in CQC in front of Bane's militia

Nolan's Bruce Wayne "merely adopted" the Darkness, not deciding to become Batman until his late 20's whereas with the Comic Book Bruce Wayne;the Darkness "adopted him" when he was a 8 years old because his whole world was eradicated, subjecting him to "Perpetual Solitude" (which is impossible to go into in the movies due to the existence of "Rachel's" character)making Little Bruce's only form of solace and santuary The Darkness i.e. The Batman-he's little Bruce's Big Daddy

    1) He hasn't needed to fight in 7 years and he's out of practice and 2) again, he's out of practice and Bane is a freaking monster
