  • @Robbob9933 But that is the point I'm trying to make as well. I never stated that we were the President's Own. The title doesn't say THE MARINE BAND! it says U.S Marine Corps Band & in that respect, we ARE a United States Marine Corps Band; The Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Band to be precise. & FYI, there are Two SNCO's marching in this Video. A trombone player to my left & a sousaphone at the end. Again, I never defended that we were THE MARINE BAND aka. "The President's Own"

  • @argeniss3099 If you remove a comment after posting, it still shows up in the inbox. You DID state as fact that this was the Presidents Own. The video title references the proper name for the Presidents Own and my original comments were to state that it is not but rather a Fleet/Base band from 29 Palms. I mentioned rank to you because every Marine Corps Band (Presidents Own) member is a Staff Sergeant at a minimum. As none in the video are SSGT, they are not Presidents Own.

  • @Robbob9933 I did however mention that there was a relation between the Field Bands & THE Marine Band, a.k.a "The President's Own". At the time this video was taken, we were indeed named The Marine Corps Band Twentynine Palms, which evolved to Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Band, Twentynine Palms, which in turn was shortened to The Combat Center Band due to the length of the name. The word "Corps" in the title was used to distinguish field bands from the Marine Band, at least in our case.

  • @Robbob9933 I don't understand why you have to name call. I was only pointing out that the title of the video is in fact appropriate as it clearly says Marine Corps Band & not Marine Band as "The President's Own" is known as.I took the comment down after realizing I had already replied, nothing more. I'm not sure what you mean about wrong rank, or if that was even addressed at me as I don't recall ever mentioning anything about ranks nor that any of the members here were in "The President's Own"

  • @argeniss3099 This dumbass did not have the balls the leave his comment up. He is trying to insist that the band in the video is "The Marine Corps Band" aka The Predisents Own. There are ZERO members of The Presidents Own in this video. First WRONG uniform next WRONG rank.

  • @emptyangel We did play throughout that entire parade. This was one of my first times leading this group & there wasn't a need to play the full hymn at this point in the parade; This part was the very beginning and hardly anyone was there at this point of the parade. On two occasions, we played through the Marine's Hymn twice through without a cut; there was large group of Retired Marines ahead of us, and I thought it was fitting to honor them y doing so, which they liked.

  • @jsb021173 Maybe in druming? but in combat the United states Marines are on top! thats a provin fact!

    AUUUUURAHHH!

  • @jsb021173 We follow tradition, these marches were formed during the Revolutionary War. At the time, there were only militia.

  • look sooooooooooo plastic/drum corps. roll step roll step roll step mince mince mince.

never as good asTHE ROYAL MARINES

    sorry!
