@UnsilentE A Kennedy Democrat. How interesting that is probably more conservative than ANY republican we have in office. All while people want to portray him (Rod Serling) as a leftest. The truth is our government regardless of party does not represent the people and the represent the state. We are almost at the place where this episode was set and people want to place blame rather than try to fix it.

Rod Serling was a progressive. He championed racial equality and was vehemently anti-war. He'd laugh at the irony, to see us comparing this episode to either a left or right wing agenda. As if that were the point. The point is not to succumb to fear. That's what's happening on both sides of the aisle in America right now. We're in the Twilight Zone.

For decades, the Evil Totalitarian 'bad guys' portrayed in TV and movies have been 'Right-wing'. How exquisitely apropos that now, when all of these scenarios are coming to fruition, the Left are the 'Bad Guys' who are taking over.
