  • Bravo Albrecht Mayer!

  • You´re so right! I hope that I can see him in December playing Bach, Telemann and Handel.

  • Where will that be?

  • FRANKFURT( Germany) 4.12.2007 "Alte Oper"

  • Too far from me...

Have you heard him live before?

  • not at all!

  • Great rendition, I have always admired both soloists immensely. Dont get into arguements, just listen, admire and learn. Too many bloody egos on You-tube.

  • I´m crying. Quastoff is wonderful.

  • grandissimo Mayer

  • Beautiful piece. I think King Crimson's "Starless" is inspired by this. The way the oboe accompanies the vocal part here is very similar to how the saxophone is treated in "Starless". I think the mood is quite similar as well.

  • Que maravilhosa música! parabens pela postagem!

  • Sublime.

  • @sanjosemike Know what you mean.

  • @sanjosemike Bach's pretty good too from what I hear...

  • I'm a militant atheist, but Quasthoff causes me to have doubts. It's not fair.

Compliments et merci pour le post

  • He's fabulous, especially in person. What a blessing this guy is. He appears somewhat irregularly but not infrequently in NY and I try not to miss a chance to hear his interpretations. He's even been at the Metropolitan Opera, if memory serve.

  • ... So beautiful
