Simple and honest. It doesn't need anything else. So his vocal chops aren't what some people can get into, who cares. Kris was always the guy that other artists liked. He wrote "Me and Bobbi McGee", and that alone is enough to give him credit for life. Bod Dylan didn't have what most would call a pretty voice either, but that's not why people listened to him. It's all about emotion. Kris puts his heart out there.
