Civil War Tour Guide Gary Kross Little Round Top, Gettysburg - We lucked out a few years ago and got Gary Kross as our tour guide. He was so good I pulled out my camera and grabbed this video. If you like this, search for Pickett's Charge, I recorded him there a earlier in the tour, also very good. We're planning another trip sometime in the future...and if Gary Kross is still giving tours we'll schedule him for sure. He stood at the front of our tour bus and gave a driving tour as we went from site to site. His knowledge level is astounding.

  • Last I heard (a year or so ago), Gary Kross was working for Segtours. I have no affiliation with them...but JUST double checked and found a few references to "Gary" on their testimonial page: .segtours.com/testimonials.htm . When I posted this video of his presentation...I'd searched and found another reference to Gary at their website (they used have a page that listed their guides by name). I talked to someone there and gave the link to this so Gary could see it...

  • at the bottom of the hill my great, great, great, great grandpa bushman owned a union army hospital called bushman farm. I am proud to be such a patriotic girl :D

  • @TwistedGold0 The war would have just gone on longer.

  • Wow!!! Awesome presentation and knowledge Mr Kross. Thanks very much for your posting jkmochamaster :))

  • How in God's name does he know that much and recite it flawlessly.

  • Thanks for this video, I have been to Gettysburg twice, in 1974 and 2008

  • more Cult of Chamberlain nonsense. To think that if Little Round Top fell means thats it wars over is nonsense.

  • Thumbs up if yo uwatched the whole thing! :/

  • @TwistedGold0

Actually there were a lot more soldiers up on Little Round Top than Chamberlain and the 20th Maine. Whether Chamberlain stayed or ran really didn't matter. By the time the Little Round Top fight had reached its climax there were two Union brigades on the hill and the Sixth Corps was moving up. It was Warren, Vincent, and O'Rorke that saved the day, but they get no credit for it because they didn't become movie stars.

  • @Ace4929 Lee was north of Washington. Virginia is south.

  • @KayBeeEee1983 Meades orders were to stay between Lee and Washington and that is all the protection that lincoln needed. but we could go on and on and on and on forever about this, and hindsight is 20/20. who knows what would have hapened, it didnt happen is the point, and all I am saying is that Lee missed a golden opertunity to sneak around the enemy, leave it behind, and go elsewere, because he didnt frickin feel like it
