Let's stop foriegn workers ill treatment in Singapore

We felt the sting when we saw our local Trishaw uncle being bullied by foreigners.

Many less privileged than ourselves travel to Singapore in search of a better future.

Foreign workers abuse, be it physically , mentally or emotionally and even spiritually has always been an issue, overseas or local. Like us, these foreign workers who come from abroad have loved one and fellow countrymen where they came from.

There's a spa saloon in Singapore which handles their staff (mostly foreign workers) in manners which borders on illegal (there's a female foreign worker in there working 12 hours at day, at times more, 6 days a week) conditions, undermining Singapore's efforts to be a gracious society. Most of these foreign workers don't dare speak up for fear of losing even the relative golden opportunity of working in Singapore.

Together, we can make a difference!

Let's stop foreign workers from even coming into Singapore!

I think it will take another couple more generations for Singapore to rid itself of blatant race discrimination. I wish I could have spent more time living there because it truly is a beautiful country, it's a shame that the ugliness lies within its people. Of course, there are a lot of lovely people, the above comment was not a generalisation; But the overwhelming majority remain racially bound and it is very hard to stay positive in such a negative society and with such conditions.

Look what happen to the IT sector when most of the jobs went to Indian and filipino workers, eventually all our departments get shut down here in singapore and then reopen in India and Phillipines. So why shoot our foot. Dont engaged this foreigners and do you know many of these foreigners who come here from those extremist countries are using our country as their intelligence netowrk and financial hub to get the money to fund their cause.

Nobody sold them as slaves to work in Singapore. They are stealing jobs and still complaining.

As for the Gay Prostitution in Little India, we dont even know about it except the Mafia in India who got them here to disappear into our airport that stupidly extend warm welcomes thinking everyone is forthright.

If there is no Foreign workers working for us, who will be a cleaner? Garbage Worker? No one will clean for us. They need to from their home to Singapore to earn money for their family. They are poor. And did they abuse us? No. Did they bullies us? No. So what's wrong?

Singapore is not a perfect country , it has it bad points and good points . You other country people mind respecting OUR country? It is not as if your country is so perfect that no abuse has occurred before . Our country , is our home . To you foreigners is nothing but to us , it is our HOME.
