Circus Maximus - The Prophecy - from the Album "The 1st Chapter"

Lyrics:

When there's no love nor hate in this world
When we reach out our hand to someone
...but that someone is not there
I'm all alone in this forsaken world where time stands
...ooh so still
I remember but now it's time for peace

The world ain't no longer
Hello? Can anybody hear me?
It's in the hands of faith

You keep on walking that same dark road
Where there's no end to see
In these ruins you stand all alone
...while you dream about yesterday

There's no turning back once the tides have changed (tides have changed)
The world ain't no longer
It's in the hands of faith

I woke up in the middle of the night
Outside the rain was covered in red
Thunder and lightning covers the sky
I'm all alone in this forsaken place
What have I done to deserve a life like this
Am I the key? Have I unlocked the mystery to life?

Innocence is the secret to reveal the prophecy
A new beginning predicted by the pages in the sand
Innocence is the secret to reveal the prophecy
The soul survivor stands alone to end this misery

  • sometimes living in the states sucks... sucks real hard...

  • @UrizenNihilation Sucks ? xD Man you have Symphony X, Dream Theater,Animals as Leaders and many more progressive metal acts out there in your country...I wish to live in there, here in my country (Portugal) the metal scene overall is viewed too badly,we have great bands such as Moonspell,Ramp,Witchbreed, Saiif Adell,Ava Inferi,Pestifier,Heavenwood,Headstoned and not so many more :/ ..This is almost ALL of our main Metal bands,'cause no record company is signed to most of them...Which is stupid..

  • @ripperpp16 Yeah we also have a lot more space to have bands flourish... In itself that's a curse and a blessing. In order to see them Live I often end up having to take a plan or two to reach my destination living in the upper western side. Most of the bands I care about end up bypassing us.

You bring up a good point nonetheless... It is definitely a sometime thing as I said. Wanting to see all your favorite bands is a dream :)

I feel for you though, that is brutal.

  • @UrizenNihilation Yes it's fucking annoying also when I want to see most bands live but it's the same thing ever again, like the big concerts are in the capital (Lisbon) and I live in the Northern part of the country, and prices to go on bus, train are too much, you almost pay even more than the show ticket itself just on trips! And by plane, forget it, it's too damn expensive, and by car it's the same thing .. and Lisbon is just about 300km from here...Jeez --'

  • @ProgPower32 And hell, even if Symphony X was marketable, it's not like they'd spend time in the U.S., anyway. Like most of the kick ass bands that avoid the mainstream, they spend their time in every country but ours except to be here for a small tour upon album release. Then we don't see them again until the next album with the exception of maybe another small tour >.> Damn it! America sucks sometimes.

  • 1 person searched for Asking Alexandria but got the wrong song.

(Don't get me wrong. I am a fan of both bands!)

  • just enjoy this great music by CM, 'nuff said... :)

  • Good stuff, ripper :P

  • @ripperpp16 I think what he means is that living in the US, we have such a large mainstream that all our good music is hidden behind miles and miles of shit. In a country where there is little to no media, music doesn't survive unless it is GOOD. In the US, music only survives if it is marketable. If they can use it in a TV Commercial, then it's media gold. They won't touch stuff like Progressive Metal because it's not marketable. We may have Symphony X, but few Americans even know about them.

  • Joder!!! como me encanta esta canción...
