  • Is this off a live dvd? I love this band...def play the most legit irish music...unlike those punk irish bands that scream and shit

  • @mhumphrey89 This is from the Elder's first DVD 'Hoolie Poppin'

  • I'm from KC so I might be biased, but there is no other band in the world that brings so much energy to their live performance than the Elder's. Watching them live is a treat, and if you watch them you are changed in a way that can't be explained until you see them in person. Can't wait to see them in KC for Irish fest this year.

  • I just saw them along with Cathie Ryan and Solas at Colorado Irish Festival. What a night - I have not seen such a high energy band that could actually play their instruments and sounded great.

Cathie and Solas were great too - Gosh that night was magical!

  • @gambrinus1516 --I agree with you--saw them in K/C festival once--they really got the place jumping--A great band.

  • @brittanyismoney Kansas City, Mo.

  • I've never heard of these guys and stumbled upon this video by accident but this is a really cool sound! Can anyone tell me where these guys are from? I'd love to learn more about them.

  • Awesome! Seen them 7 or 8 times but I found out about them after the accordion player left the band. Like this a lot. Joe the keyboard player is an amazing musician too but its nice to see the old band here. Thanks for posting.

  • @gambrinus1516 Yeah! I'm actually from St. Joe, so it's only about an hour away. But I go to the Irish Fest every year just to listen to these guys play! I remember when I first saw them, they were actually IN St. Joe at the Civic Arena. Hands down, best concert i've ever been to!

  • @gambrinus1516 I'll back you up on that (and I'm from Colorado, so no bias.) There's just something there....and you're absolutely right, no measure of eloquence can convey the delight of the live show to someone who hasn't seen them. But everyone's converted after the first time they see the Elders live!

  • Love it!

  • iam that 1 person

  • It's one of my favorites!
