We just bought a new 2009 Ford F-150 Crew Cab 4x4 Lariat with the 5.4 V8. I decided it was time to put the truck to the test. I had cut down this huge dead pine tree and needed to move it. Instead of cutting it up, I rigged a line around it and hooked it to my truck. I figured I would tow it down to the pond so the fish would have some cover and it would give us a good big structure to fish around.
So I towed this big ass tree behind the truck and WOW!! I knew it would pull it but i had no idea it pull it as easy as it did. i mean it pulled this tree like nobody's business!!!!!!! I guess it's true what they say, Ford Trucks are by far the most durable, powerful, rugged and versatile trucks on the face of the planet.....

I've pulled logs bigger than that with my quad (Yamaha Bear Tracker 250). You've got a nice truck..but if that's your way of testing out a trucks performance..I'd stay out of Arizona

You should watch that video where both the 09 Ram crew cab 5.7 raced a 09 F150 crew cab 5.4 up a 6% grade pulling 3k lbs...they started at 45 mph and punched it..the ford beat it pretty bad. They proved a point of low end tq and proper transmission gearing is key. Ford's PCM tune is very conservitive..dyno tune it and you get 40 more tq..slap a cam in there and get another 40 tq.. I did that (with other goodies) and I keep up with supercharged trucks. mine is an 05 with a 4 speed btw haha

@hondahp18 y would u even need to put it in 4wd he never lost traction. u mostly need power and a little bit of traction and u could do this

Dude first, you need to learn some damn English. Second you need to know what the hell your talking about! This truck doesn't use Car Suspension ( I think that's what you we're attempting to type) and FORD never received a cent from the government! What a moron...

um no where in my comment is there anything that cant be read...no where does it say anything about a car or a suspension. looks like sombody needs to go back to second grade to learn how to read and hey ill say this it was a friendly joke but im sorry my tuck would blow that ford outta the water, in strength,power, speed. and FYI it is a Dodge 3500 with a cummins diesel...so yea i think it would beat ya.. but you need to learn how to take a friendly joke..from truck owner to truck owner

Your right man, I apologize. I just re-read it. I didn't see that it was someonels replying to your post. I do apologize. As for Dodges, I like em more now that they have worked out their transmission issues but I will always bleed FORD!!! Take care man
