Story: Nate and Cassie are both miserable. Nate's been kicked out of school for something he didn't do , his family has bailed on him, and he's living on the couch of his best friend who just slept with his girlfriend. While Cassie has issues with drinking, drugs, and food. Sick of her life she packs up and goes to new york, enjoying one last hit before swearing off her old life. Just when she thinks quitting cold turkey is impossible, she meets Nate and they start a relationship. She lets herself fall deep in love while Nate searches for an in back to his old rich-boy world. Overwhelmed by her newfound feelings, Cassie goes back to her old ways, leaving Nate to make a choice between his burdened new girlfriend and his new chance at his old life. In the end, Nate writes Cassie a letter saying he's done with them being together and doesn't want to see her again, leaving a heartbroken Cassie.
