    thanks for the lyrics

Thanks for the valuable info about others who have sung the same I shall hunt for them on you tube as well

I guess "vilopale madhumilanat ya" means eloping for the sweet meeting with my beloved ( loose translation) but dont know other lines all that well! some marathi words are from pure sanskrit and can be recognised but not all! sadly i am not very fluent in Marathi! if you could post the maning i wouls appreciate it and would be thankful!

    l o l!

  • @Psyche1954 - This is Natya Sangeet from Marathi Natak Brahmakumari originally sung by Dinanath Mangeshkar, then Asha Bhosale and Many others. below is lyrics. will find exact meaning and post it later

    vilopale madhumilanat ya

    smarbhav kay vilol he

    Sakhi bol ji ho kamana

    karu sarth tya saha youvana

    pranyi ankita he dhanyata

  • I wish some body posts the lyrics/words and their meaning in context as I am not Marathi Speaking but enjoy abhangs as much as I like Dasara padagulu, or Kabir and soor Bhajans

Thank you Anuragji for the post!

  • I am glad i subscribed to this channel! Jayateeerthaji is very good, may God bless him with all things nice!

I am much the poorer for having not heard him all these years!

I am glad to have made amends!

  • Excellent song. Excellent artist.

I have heard him many times, and every time it was very good. thanks

  • Many thanks for all the postings of Jayateerth. He is truly outstanding. Very much in the mould of the great Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. And he is getting better. Just heard him at the Nehru Centre, Mumbai where his performance stood out.
