@daberko120ch Doubt it will collapse. $80 billion isn't really a lot considering other debts and the fact that they accomplished so much and only are in the hole 80 mil. Oh, and they aren't retards. Look at Emirates Airline, it has made a profit every year of its existence. Compare that to an American airline and still tell me the Arabs are the retards.

@daniyal08 I am kind of thinking of it the other way around, Dubai cannot afford this stuff and are going into debt yet they keep expanding this site. They put so much money into this building site and soon they will collapse because they are retards who never learned how to make good decisions :/ That's the truth, they are going into serious debt because of this just to make a 'cool beach vacation'

i like dubai but after the recession it pretty much turned into a ghost town. lots of construction projects left abandoned. that and alot of people are finding out that dubai was built with a slave society that is kept separate from the rich people

Yeah I get what you mean. It wears down on you after a while.
Although there are still some remnants of arabic culture , the old gold souk and parts of the creek still have an air of arabia about them.
But other than that it is very western : /

Don't move here now , i moved here on the 18th December , although for quite important and sudden reasons ( on the 16th of December I didn't know I was moving)
The crisis isn't as bad as the Uk makes out though compared to other economies .
