@PeteManic Indeed. Stairway to Heaven's solo was recorded on a telecaster.

ohok thats good he ended the jm slash contversy by just playing and showing slash has a list of legendary songs ..

@revolutionday1 if someone dare to say that, all has been said ,2012 the end is near...
-
@PeteManic uhhh Les Paul.

actually it's for his sound engineer Chad Franscoviak. You can hear him say "Chad's got eyes of the bluest skies..." and I think at one point he even sings "Sweet Chad of Mine".

@PreppersTactics I think that most of the early Zep stuff was recorded on a tele rather than a strat though I might be wrong...
-
@PeteManic you know that most of led zepplin was recorded on a strat

@PeteManic Nice comment ! hahaha..... Can't believe he didn't throw down on Slash's most famous solo. I figured the only reason he did the cover was to show he could play the solo. Cuz he is kind of a show-off on guitar.

Sweet Child on a Strat? Jesus wept.
JM's not being serious here. He was just chilling out and having a bit of fun on-stage. Trust me, if you saw him when he's serious, you wouldn't be hating. This is the man who covers Hendrix like a boss, got Clapton's respect (and became so close to Clapton that he's merited the nickname "Slowhand Jr."), and got mad respect from his hero Buddy Guy--this was just done all just in fun here with the audience. I mean, can't you tell he's purposely mimicking Axl Rose's mannerisms? JM's humorous.
