CNN I-Report: Angels & Demons Movie Review By Rajiim Gross
5/13/09

Here's a first!! When was the last time you went to a sneak preview where there were so many people there to see it that the theater had 2 screens previewing the movie simultaneously?? Well that's what happened tonight at the Advanced Screening of "Angels & Demons" Ron Howard Does it Again With The Soon To Be Blockbuster Hit "Angels & Demons". Tom Hanks is back in the role of Robert Langdon who is like The Indiana Jones of Symbols and Their Ancient History. Langdon is requested to help solve a kidnapping of some Vatican Clergy. Langdon discovers that the Catholic Church is under attack from an old enemy The Illuminati..... or are they?? THe Vatican is in danger of being destroyed and Langdon is their only hope. This film follows The Da Vinci Code. There is only one reference to The Da Vinci code in this film and it's not necessary for you to have seen it to enjoy this film. The film has some very graphic scenes and if your squeamish you may need to take someone with you to tell you when it's ok to resume looking at the screen!! This film has many twists and turns and keeps you on the edge of your seat the whole film. Just when you think the film has ended.....your treated to another 20 minutes of action and suspense on the big screen. Unfortunately for a few people who attended the screening I was at, they missed the actual end of the film. So STAY UNTIL THE CREDITS ACTUALLY BEGIN TO ROLL!! Viewers need to keep in mind this is a work of Fiction and not an Attack on the Catholic Church. Ewan McGregor Co-stars with Tom Hanks in Angels & Demons. I give this a 4 1/2 Stars or A-. Starts 5/15/09

  • I know a movie and a book can`t be the same but i mean would have been great to see all the world staring at what ws happening inside the vatican, i would have wanted to see how Ventresca burned himself but outside where everybody could look at him, like in the book it would have been great, cinematographically speaking of course!
