Hey man, don't be ashamed that nothing has changed since your last video. We just enjoy hearing your thoughts on SA, regardless. I understand about not being motivated. You mentioned in a previous video that all your motivation resets the following morning, same with me. You say about going to clubs and bars, don't waste your time or your brain. Screw whether that is the thing to do just to fit in. It's sad to think that most people our age regard clubbing and drinking as having a life.

hang in there chris....you're doing better than I am.

In physics, there is a term called "entropy", which basically means that the universe is always moving towards a state of disorder. I think that life is always moving even if it feels stagnant, but every person has their own movement. It's just our job to figure out our own way of ordering our movements in our unique ways out of the disorder that is constantly and inevitably traveling towards.

I always thought about what kind of person i would be without anxiety disorder.....most likely the person i was before, more confident, less depressed, didn't avoid people, and shy(but this wasn't a problem to me). Anxiety Disorders has kept me from enjoying my life; weird how simple stuff becomes such a big deal now.

Then I got better at it and automaticly my own mind would notice when I got distracted and I was able to resume my focus on the present. So when I went to sleep this automatic habit stayed and in my sleep I would suddenly know that I had been distracted but now I was inside a dream. I don't know man maybe you want to try that since you want to get good at it.

I often wonder what I would be like if I didnt have SA. And I think I would be the same kind of person, just like you said. I wouldnt suddenly turn in to a party animal, because I think social anxiety has already shaped me in to being a certain kind of person. Maybe given time, I would change and start to enjoy socializing...I dunno

Hey Chris. If you do get a second job, go into retail or something. It was the single best thing I ever did. It was really hard at first - my mom actually went and got the job for me, I was too scared to even go there and ask if they were hiring. But now 2.5 years after I still work there, and like the people I work with and my anxiety is becoming more and more manageable
lucid dreaming is amazing, and i do think it can help you in waking life as well. after i have one, i seem to be more confident and less worried about things.
i have like 1-2 per week now, and i always get them the same way: after sleeping for a few hours, i wake up and go pee/get a drink, and when i go back to bed, thats ALWAYS when it happens. i think its because im right in the middle of REM sleep, and im more conscious since i was just up and moving around.

Awesome. That's actually called the "wake-back-to-bed" technique. I need to try that more cuz I notice my LDs happen in the morning or just a couple hours before I wake up for the day.

I've wondered about life without SA too. If it suddenly disappeared or something, I'd probably do a lot of the same stuff as I do now. But I don't doubt I'd do much more as well. But going to bars wouldn't be one of them though. That's not my kind of thing.
I still haven't been able to have a single LD unfortunately. I really hope that will change though.

Start keeping a dream journal and cataloguing them daily, even if it's only snippets of a dream. As your recall gets better, you'll be more likely to have a LD. Also, doing frequent reality checks and setting your intentions before going to bed on having a LD helps out too. There's tons of techniques, but you have to find the right one that works. I'm still looking for the one where I will be able to have them at will.

I was listening to a Buddhist teacher the other day, and he said one of the key signs that someone is becoming more spiritual, more in tune with reality and moving away from illusion is that they no longer need to always be "entertained" or "amused" all the time.

Hopefully I can get to that point one day, cuz right now I find entertainment as a distraction from the problems of everyday life. I meant to talk about escapism in this video in regards to how I utilize it in my life, but ran outta time. Guess I will do so in the next.
