This is my ultra-light cook kit for backpacking. I am using the GSI minimalist and a mini bull design choke hazard stove.

  • good system bro, i wold try to attach the wind screen to the pot stand, i used the mid section from a soda can 4 that, just remember to leave some space at the bottom and top of the screen.

Hope this lighten 10- 15 grams of your system. PEACE

  • @lepycelrau Hey Thanks brother! Thats not a bad Idea. Whats the best way to attach a wind screen? Should I use JB weld or something like that?

  • @wilemuse JB weld works great for me ;)

  • @LoveRise I'm sure you could cut it with a hack saw. I would guess the only problem you would run into with that is getting a straight cut. Good Luck!

  • @wilemuse I appreciate your concern:-) Fortunately I don't have a miter saw....lauighing. I'm wondering if a hack saw would work or if it would just 'hack' up the bottle? I really do like the idea and I'm glad you shared it. Warmly, Laurie

  • @LoveRise If you try using a miter saw, please be very careful. I found the best way to do this was to use a fine cut saw blade with rpms as high as they could be. Then, make the cut slowly. I think this will give you the cleanest cut and insure that the blade won't snag on the hard plastic. Good Luck!
