Baby Ornate Box Turtles

they must have hatched september 1st. from eggs laid july-9-2008. i've been keeping ornates for 7 years now, and these are the first babies produced by my little herd of 1.3 Terrapene ornata

if i want to get an ornate turtle should i get one or multiple so they have "buddies"?

it really is a question of how much space,time, budget you got, and your own objectives. if you want to breed ornatas you know you should get at least one pair, but they dont mind being alone, in nature they're pretty solitary animals. although i have to say that when kept as a pair or as a group it gets more interesting for the owner to watch.

awwwww two questions: 1. do u have to have an incubator cuz they r usually buried underground and I'm planning to catch turtles this summer and i ussually c ornate box turtles and 2. where do u live Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Canada? gimme somethin to work with here
