I don't understand why ya'll are arguing about how much better the band was under this director or that director. I having marched under Dr. O thought he did a wonderful job, but might I point out that HE isn't the reason I wanted to be in the MDB. I wanted to be in the MDB because it is an awesome band with an amazing history!! They have been and always will be great no matter who the director is. I'm proud to call myself an alum of the MDB!

much prefer the band now....auxilaries are much improved and do much better job of complimenting the band.....amazes me how childish and inmature some former members have to be....get over yourself..grow up

Here we go again with this debate...
Not all of Ms. Scott's shows were "spectacular"... I should know, since I marched two years under Ms. Scott and two under Dr. O. Ms. Scott had some outstanding shows, no doubt... but I challenge anyone to find a show late in her tenure (I.e. post-1998) where none of the lines were "off-kilter", and the tone was not poor.
The question I have is, why do so many alums have to shoot down other people who enjoy what they see in Dr. O's version of the MDB?

Spectacular? I beg to differ. Our performances were spectacular under the direction of Kathryn Scott... but Ozello? He's sacrificing sound for appearance, and the moves are just plain sloppy. Lines are off-kilter. Tone is poor. Balance is poor. I'm glad I marched when the MDB really was worth a million dollars.

Wow, that was spectacular...no band in all of college does a really great halftime show any better than does The Million Dollar Band.....great young guys and gals....
