Wall Street has never seen a day quite like this. The blue chips dropped almost 1,000 points in less than half an hour during one of the most turbulent trading days in history.

@twokoiable you have a point there, but that mistake could trigger and did (at some extend) a series of non predictive events.. Like the algorithm traders that went on and massive sell it.. that was the whole problem

Truly surprised so many believed the big fat lie about a trader making a mistake. How do I know it was a lie? Why on earth would concerns about Greece factor in if there was an honest error. Secondly, This newscast said everyone was "holding their breath" waiting to see what would happen next. If a trader simply made a mistake there would have been nothing to worry about. Wake up people...it's all smoke and mirrors.

Frequency trading is what caused this flash crash to show congress shadow bankers (not a single reported trader with a b.s. fat thumb) run the whole market. History will reveal this unless the bankers will rewrite history.
