Travel for 2 hours up the Trent and Mersey Canal by Narrowboat (nb.Gaudium Vivendi) in only 4 minutes. The journey starts off at Sawley Marina, and ends just above Aston Lock in Derbyshire.

56 seconds into the video you can see on the left side the now demolished historic 'Long Horse' foot Bridge at Derwent Mouth. At 2 minutes 20 seconds on the left there is a brief glimpse of classic Narrowboat "Sweden" as we pass through Shardlow Bridge.

The video concludes with some bonus Canal Pictures taken at various locations on the system.

This video was made in March 2002 at the start of a week long trip to Great Haywood.

The Music is "COCOON" - Timerider

  • sorry meant to say.... I have JUST spent a lovely week... Nice to see her with fantastic paintwork, unfortunately in need of a re-paint now.....red does chalk quite badly. Also it looks like the roof is dark in some photos? is this just reflections or did you repaint? It's now moored at Calcutt Marina at Napton on the Hill, do you have any photos of the interior, as it was changed by a previous owner (was this you?)?
