I was lucky enough to go to The Gordons first and not last, ear-splitting public performance - late 1979/early 1980 (Hillsborough Tavern) from memory and they played this song twice as they only had 4 songs penned at the time, started just a few days before playing support for The Whizz Kids. One of the best live Kiwi bands ever!

  • @infradig8 1984

  • @Vorple too bad Bailter Space is pretty bad =\

  • @portabletiger

I believe you may be interested a band called "Bailter Space" should you not have heard of them already. Same dudes as in the Gordons. I believe they are currently living in New York.

    Cheerio

  • What's this movie?

  • Loud. What? Oh yeah, they were loud alright ( Up there with Skeptics and Cheap Trick for earringingness)

  • wicked!

  • I remember seeing them at the hillsborough community centre (about 1980, did the siphoners support?) only had about 5 songs; identity, paxt, quality control, head injury. For me one of best gigs ever. Never thought the records did justice to those early performances, but I suppose that holds for most nz music from back then.

  • at the first gig myself.........was flatting with brent at the time they formed.......from memory....mr Gordon was john or alistar or daves landlord at that time...........also saw midnight oil,the dudes, the crocodiles, alistar riddell, the androids, flight x7 and a heap of other bands at the hillsborough.........easy walk home to opawa

  • Thanks for posting. Hands down the best song to come out of the best period of NZ music

  • What people forget about kiwi music.
