I also had a wonderful stay at the Sofitel LA and loved the soft lighting in the spacious, luxe bathrooms and the homey feel of the lucky bamboo plants. The pool was so relaxing as well as the complimentary apples. Sofitel really do know how to introduce life and vivaciousness in their hotels. Other Sofitels I really recommend are the Sofitel Bayerpost in Munich and the Sofitel St James London. I didn't think much of the Sofitel New York or the Sofitel Heathrow, very average indeed.
