  • Can You give me the name of This music?

  • @krellcusio It's stated in the opening title :)

  • Looks like that phase plug isn't attached to the polepiece. I wonder why.

  • @transdrole The phase plug is attached to the speaker membrane, mainly to dissipate audio waves according to the design of the speaker. Unless you were thinking about Tannoy's dual concentric patent with a separate tweeter in the middle?

  • @noisefreq if its atached to the cone, its not a phase plud.

  • @bob505470 Yeah, you are probably correct about that. RS6 has two speaker cones (handling mid and low frequencies) and one tweeter (handling high frequencies). I know there are lots of other patents out there for speakers - including those with fixed phase plugs and paper membranes and whatnot... It all depends on the sonic qualities one quests for.

  • It's ridicolous listen to this (c)rap with these great speakers

  • I picked up my RS6 speakers last week. They are matched with Marantz PM6003 and CD6003 and they sound amazing! When I auditioned them in the showroom, among various other tracks, I played 'Timeless' by Goldie. I've never heard bass like it. It sounded like the building was being shook to the foundations. Luckily for me, the couple in the flat below me have recently moved out so I can play 'em loud for the forseeable future!

  • monitor audio is great but they do need careful matching they are very revealing. better than most at the price often really good speakers are fussy and need great amps that synergise.

  • Any suggestions for an amp to power RS6i agree that they can sound bright and would appreciate any suggestions price is a factor. Currently using an old Audiolab 8000a
