News Update: Baby Tiger Found in Woman's Bag at Bangkok Airport

"A three-month-old tiger cub has been found by authorities at Bangkok's international airport after it was hidden alongside stuffed toy tigers in a woman's suitcase; the woman was en route from Thailand to Iran, the Associated Press reports.

According to wildlife trade monitoring group TRAFFIC, authorities noticed a live animal inside the woman's large bag when it was sent under the X-ray machine during security checks.

The woman, who is a Thai national, was arrested before boarding her flight, and the tiger cub was taken to a wildlife preserve in Bangkok.

Head of the Department of National Parks' Wildlife Health Unit, Chaiyaporn Chareesaeng, said, ""The cub arrived at our unit Monday. He appeared exhausted, dehydrated and couldn't walk, so we had to give him oxygen, water and lactation. We have monitored him closely. As of today, he looks better and can walk a little now.
