Glasgow and Strathclyde University September 2008

Sentimental return to my old University and the fine city of Glasgow. The University is about 90 seconds in. The rest gives a flavour of Glasgow.

Thanks for sharing, it brings back fond memories, I dont seem to remember some of the streets mention. I graduated from Stratchlyde U in 1985, and never been there since...couldnt afford.

@labulabis : I left in '88. High Street is pretty much unchanged. The University built more accommodation in the 90s (where I stayed for 2 years has been demolished). Glasgow is a bit of a shopping paradise now. You really notice it. I have only been back twice since graduation, but I love going to Scotland when I can.

I stayed in Thomas Campbell Court while studying in Strathclyde Uni. Great University, wonderful city and I appreciate this video because it reminded me of my own time there as a student. Thank you and maybe I'll see you in Glasgow soon :)

@goldandsapphire : Glad you liked it. I really filmed it as a memory for me. I have been to Glasgow only twice since graduating in 88. I am surprised this film gets a steady number of views, but I can't see any similiar film. Back to Scotland in a few weeks to mountain bike. Edinburgh may be my next masterpiece!

I've got the offer from Strathclyde and ICMA (Reading) in MSc Finance. I hesitate to choose the best fit for me or higher respect.

@viktorhat : Lots of Norwegians at SU Viktor when I was there.

You will like Glasgow (I have been to Norway twice which I liked alot). I was in Edinburgh 10 days ago (well worth visiting).

I don't know about that as I am in the south of England. Jobs are difficult where-ever at the moment. I would say Glasgow is close to some magnificent scenery. Southern Scotland, the West Coast and the Highlands. I mountain bike once a year if I can. Brilliant. Hope to be up later in the summer.

I did Business Administration with Management and Marketing as the main subjects. Durham is a very respectable university. I have only been through on the train, so I don't know it as a city. Strathclyde is also highly respected. Difficult choice!
